Mount Rainier!!!!

Wow and Wow!!!

First wow is for Wow the beauty of this place is great and second is for the crowds which is wow this sucks!!!

 

The beginning:

After spending a week with 100 degree heat we could only take so much and after looking at a weekend of 100 plus temps each day we decide to head to Mount Rainier and spend the weekend in a hotel and in the park. The drive was fun but we left our property late (due to work issues for me!!!) and got stuck in traffic, but made it to our hotel near Takoma Washington. We ran to Safeway and prepared for our trip with food, ice and water.

Next morning we header out and got to the park around 10 AM, nice drive and no too much of a line to get in. We renewed our National Park pass and headed up the mountain. I formally rename Mount Rainier to “The Beast” It is a beast, it takes up the entire horizon as you approach and as you drive around the park.

 It is always there!!!

But the view is breathtaking and the trees and flowers are just wow!!!

All in all it was a great time, we saw wonderful sites and it was not hot!!!
